NJSBA Schedules Open Forums for Input on Work-Life Balance Issues
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ--The NJSBA Work-Life Balance Task Force, in conjunction with the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, invites New Jersey attorneys to participate in either one of two open forums that will discuss work-life balance issues in the legal profession. The sessions are scheduled for Jan. 21, 2009 at Greenberg Traurig in Florham Park, and Feb. 17, 2009 at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. With the input gathered at these forums, the Task Force will develop recommendations for work-life balance initiatives within the legal profession. Topics include:
Involvement in Volunteer Activities (Bar Association Activities)
Family Care Issues/Child Rearing and Elderly Parents
Issues for Female/Minority Attorneys
Attorneys in Public Sector or Corporate Positions
Law Firm Policies, Attitudes and Issues
Technology Issues (how does technology make work-life balance easier? more difficult?)
Clients/Their Role in Changing Issues
Flex Time/Reduced Hours and Working from Home
Law Students, Associates and Younger Attorneys
View from the Courts/AOC
Any other issue raised by attendees
Attorneys who are able to attend either forum should complete the January 21 meeting notice or the February 17 meeting notice and return as indicated.
