Marcia S. Freedman Receives Distinguished Legislative Service Award

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Marcia S. Freedman received the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Distinguished Legislative Services Award at the Association’s Board of Trustees Meeting and Holiday Luncheon on December 12, 2008 at the New Jersey Law Center. She is a Cherry Hill resident and attorney with the Voorhees law firm of Stahl & DeLaurentis.

The award recognizes Ms. Freedman for her efforts on behalf of the NJSBA in getting a package of six workers’ compensation bills signed into law.

An NJSBA member since 1987, Ms. Freedman is a member and immediate past chair of the Workers’ Compensation Law Section.

A Rutgers School of Law graduate, Ms. Freedman heads the workers’ compensation department at Stahl & DeLaurentis. She is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Workers’ Compensation Law Attorney, serves as a Master to the Workers’ Compensation Inns of Court and is a past member of the faculty for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia. Ms. Freedman is a frequent lecturer for New Jersey Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) on workers’ compensation topics.

The New Jersey State Bar Association incorporated in 1899 is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system, to encouraging participation in voluntary pro bono activities and to aiding in the administration of justice.
