Robert B. Hille Receives Distinguished Legislative Service Award

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Robert B. Hille received the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Distinguished Legislative Service Award at the Association’s Board of Trustees Meeting and Holiday Luncheon on December 12, 2008 at the New Jersey Law Center. He is a Berkeley Heights resident and Warren attorney.

The award recognizes Mr. Hille for his efforts on behalf of the NJSBA to advance legislation that would shorten the statute of limitation for legal malpractice from six to two years and to eliminate so-called Saffer fees.

An NJSBA member since 1996, Mr. Hille is a Section/Committee Trustee and Chair of the Amicus Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Long-Term Planning Committee, Insurance Benefits Committee, and Malpractice Insurance Committee. Mr. Hille is also a member and past president of the Bergen County Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Society of Professional Journalists and the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA), where he serves on the Health Affairs Committee.

A Seton Hall University Law School graduate, Mr. Hille is a partner in the law firm of Kalison McBride Jackson & Murphy. His practice is concentrated on the substantive areas of insurance and health care law and has been widely published in these areas.

The New Jersey State Bar Association incorporated in 1899 is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system, to encouraging participation in voluntary pro bono activities and to aiding in the administration of justice.
