Charles J.X. Kahwaty Re-Appointed Bergen County Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Ridgewood attorney Charles J.X. Kahwaty was re-appointed to a two-year term on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Board of Trustees. He was sworn in at the NJSBA’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City on May 22.

An NJSBA member since 1980, Mr. Kahwaty was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2006. He is a member of the NJSBA Amicus Committee, Judicial Administration Committee and Legislative Committee. A former president of the Bergen County Bar Association, he has served on its board of trustees since 1989 and was editor-in-chief of the Bergen Barrister from 1994-2002. In addition, Mr. Kahwaty was recognized for pro bono services with a Carol Dervitz Award from Bergen County’s Alternatives to Domestic Violence program.

A Seton Hall Law School graduate, Mr. Kahwaty practices personal injury law, commercial litigation, municipal court law, DWI and collections from his Ridgewood solo law firm.
