Robert J. Brass Named Section/Committee Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ –Robert J. Brass, Deputy Attorney General with the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, was appointed to a two-year term on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Board of Trustees. He was sworn in at the NJSBA’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City on May 22.
An NJSBA member for over 15 years, Mr. Brass is the Immediate Past Chair of the Criminal Law Section and a member of the Government and Public Sector Lawyers Committee. He has participated in numerous NJSBA Bench-Bar Conference Criminal Law Panels. He is also a member of the Essex County Bar Association and serves on that organization’s Professionalism Committee and Criminal Bench-Bar Committee.
A Seton Hall Law School graduate, Mr. Brass is admitted to practice in New Jersey as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United State Supreme Court. Mr. Brass is a frequent lecturer/panelist for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), including the 2008 Criminal Law Institute. He has co-authored several NJICLE seminar handbooks related to criminal law.
