Carol L. Forte Receives Distinguished Legislative Service Award

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Carol L. Forte, a Boonton Township resident and partner with Chatham law firm Blume Goldfaden Berkowitz Donnelly Fried & Forte, was honored with the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Distinguished Legislative Service Award during the Association’s Board of Trustees Meeting and Holiday Luncheon on December 7, 2007 at the NJ Law Center.

Ms. Forte received the award in recognition of her service on the Medical Care Availability Task Force (MCATF). She was appointed to the MCATF in 2005 and was instrumental in preparing the NJSBA’s report in opposition to the MCATF final report.

An NJSBA member since 1985, Ms. Forte is also a member of the Essex and Morris County Bar Associations, the American Board of Trial Advocates and American Trial Lawyers Association. Additionally, Ms. Forte is on the Supreme Court Board on Attorney Certification and the Seton Hall Law School Board of Visitors.

Ms. Forte received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and was recognized by the Woman’s Law Forum of Seton Hall in 2003 with their Woman of Substance Award. In 2002, she received the Essex County Bar Association’s Civil Trial Attorney Award.
