Miles S. Winder, III Receives Distinguished Legislative Service Award
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Miles S. Winder, III, a Bernardsville resident and attorney, was honored with the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Distinguished Legislative Service Award during the Association’s Board of Trustees Meeting and Holiday Luncheon on December 7, 2007 at the NJ Law Center.
Mr. Winder received the award for his service as a member of the New Jersey Death Penalty Study Commission. As a member of the Commission, he ably represented the NJSBA’s position on this important issue.
An NJSBA member since 1972, Mr. Winder has been on the Association’s Board of Trustees since 2003. He is a former chair of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section and currently serves on the section’s Board of Consultors. He is a past president of the Somerset County Bar Association and is also a member of the Colorado, Florida and American Bar (ABA) Associations. Mr. Winder is a former chair of both the District XIII Fee Arbitration and Ethics committees and also serves as a special master for complex ethics matters for the New Jersey Supreme Court and is a counselor to the Joseph Halpern Inn of Court.
Mr. Winder received his law degree from the University of Denver. His practice focuses on estate litigation, estate planning and administration, contracts, real estate and commercial law.
