Michael J. Stanton Installed as Trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association

New Brunswick, NJ – Michael J. Stanton, a Montgomery Township resident and attorney with the Somerville law firm of Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus, was installed as a Section/Committee Trustee on September 6, 2007 at the NJ Law Center in New Brunswick. Mr. Stanton will complete the remaining term of Anthony F. Picheca Jr. who was named a Superior Court judge earlier this year.

A member of the NJSBA since 1976, Mr. Stanton is a member of the Family Law Section Executive Committee, as well as a member of the Infrastructure and Long-Term Planning Committees.

Mr. Stanton is certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, is a member of the Matrimonial Lawyers Alliance, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has also served as a member of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Family Law Committee of the Somerset County Bar Association. He is a former member of the Executive Committee of the Central Jersey Family Law Inns of Court, past Chair of the District XIII Fee Arbitration Committee and a former member of the District XIII Ethics Committee.

Mr. Stanton received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from New York Law School.
