Tara L. Johnson Receives Service to the Bar Award

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Tara L. Johnson a Bridgewater resident and attorney with the Hillsborough law firm of Levinson Axelrod was presented with the Young Lawyers Division Service to the Bar Award at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting in Atlantic City on May 16.

The Service to the Bar Award is presented to a young lawyer who has dedicated considerable time to bar activities at the county, state and/or national level, including specialty and minority bars.

Ms. Johnson specializes in personal injury litigation and formerly served as an assistant prosecutor in the Somerset County Prosecutor’s office. A graduate of Widener University School of Law and Monmouth University, her organized bar involvement includes activities at the state and county level. She a Trustee of the Somerset County Bar Association and is a co-chair of its Young Lawyer Division and Civil Practice Committee. She is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) since 2004.

Ms. Johnson has worked as a court night volunteer, and has participated in speaking engagements for the NJSBA on legal topics before a range of young students, including emotionally disturbed students at the Carrier Clinic and a group of gifted and talented students in Warren County.
