Thomas H. Prol Named Trustee of New Jersey State Bar Association

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Thomas H. Prol, a Franklin Borough (Sussex County) resident and attorney with the law firm Scarinci & Hollenbeck, LLC in Lyndhurst, was appointed to a two-year term on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Board of Trustees. He was sworn in at the NJSBA’s Annual Meeting in Atlantic City, May 16-18.

An NJSBA member since 2003, Mr. Prol practices in the area of environmental law and land use. He was recently co-chair of the GLBT Section and a member of the Diversity Committee. In 2004, he was named the NJSBA’s Young Lawyer of the Year, an award presented annually to a young lawyer whose personal and professional achievements merit special recognition. Additionally, Mr. Prol has served on the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Student Division and on the editorial board of the ABA’s national Student Lawyer magazine.

In 2006, Mr. Prol was included in the New Jersey Law Journal’s annual “40 under 40” list, an honor bestowed upon a select group of 40 young, outstanding attorneys in private practices across the state of New Jersey. In 2005, New Jersey Lawyer newspaper named him one of seven lawyers in the state who “made a difference” in 2004.

Mr. Prol is a 2001 graduate of New York Law School and earned a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University in 1997. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and

New York as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

The New Jersey State Bar Association, incorporated in 1899, is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming the legal system and aiding in the administration of justice.
