Anju D. Jessani Receives Special Recognition

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Anju D. Jessani, a Pohatcong resident, founder of Divorce With Dignity Mediation Services in Hoboken and Clinton, and President of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators in Hillsborough was recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association at a ceremony at the NJ Law Center on February 23, 2007 for her work on S-1467 (Scutari), which adds new causes of action for divorce based on irreconcilable differences. Ms. Jessani worked together with NJSBA members Thomas J. Snyder, Ivette Ramos Alvarez, the Honorable Robert A. Fall, Jeralyn L. Lawrence and Brian M. Schwartz to promote S-1467 by attending meetings with members of the State legislature and participating in numerous conference calls and discussions. Thanks to her effort, S-1467 was signed into law on January 20, 2007.

Ms. Jessani is an Accredited Professional Mediator. She received her academic training at the Center for Family and Divorce Mediation in NY, and conducted her practical training through Hudson County Court’s Mediation Program (NJ). She serves on the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts’ Parenting Time Advisory Committee and is on the AOC approved list of civil and family mediators. In addition, she is an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
