Ralph J. Lamparello Named Hudson County Trustee

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ-Secaucus attorney Ralph J. Lamparello was installed as Hudson County Trustee to the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) at the organization’s Annual Meeting on May 18 in Bally’s Atlantic City. The 45-member Board of Trustees manages the affairs and operation of the association.

A member of the NJSBA since 1989, Mr. Lamparello also serves on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. He is admitted to practice before the New Jersey Supreme Court and U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, in addition to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

A former president of the Hudson County Bar Association, Mr. Lamparello currently serves on the NJ Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee and is a civil arbitrator for the Superior Court of Hudson County. He holds memberships with the American Bar Association, Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys of New Jersey, Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey State League of Municipalities-New Jersey Institute of Local Government, and is a Master of the American Inns of Court – Hudson Inn.

Mr. Lamparello is managing partner in the Secaucus law firm of Chasan Leyner & Lamparello where he supervises civil and criminal litigation in state and federal court. He serves as trial counsel in all major litigation including commercial litigation, public entity litigation, corporate, employment discrimination, environmental, medical malpractice, product liability and criminal defense.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as both a criminal trial attorney and civil trial attorney, Mr. Lamparello is a former deputy attorney general for the State of New Jersey, Division of Criminal Justice and assistant prosecutor for the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor.

A legal commentator for “Court TV,” Mr. Lamparello has appeared on Open Court, Trial Heat and Both Sides. He has served in accordance with numerous governmental appointments including special counsel to the State of New Jersey, the County of Bergen, the County of Hudson, the Bayonne Board of Education, the Township of North Bergen, the City of Paterson, the Town of Secaucus, the City of Union City, the Union City Board of Education and the West New York Municipal Utilities Authority. He is assistant counsel to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commissioners and general counsel to North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue.

A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa, Mr. Lamparello earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
