Barry D. Szaferman Named Mercer County Trustee
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ-Lawrenceville attorney Barry D. Szaferman was installed as Mercer County Trustee to the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) at the organization’s Annual Meeting on May 18 in Bally’s Atlantic City. The 45-member Board of Trustees manages the affairs and operation of the association.
A member of the NJSBA since 1986, Mr. Szaferman is a former president of both the Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA) and Mercer County Bar Foundation. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the MCBA.
In 2001, Mr. Szaferman was recognized with a Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. He was nominated by the MCBA for this honor. He also served as a Blue Ribbon Panelist on the Mercer County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel.
Mr. Szaferman is managing partner in the Lawrenceville law firm of Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein, Blader & Lehmann, PC. His practice concentrates on complex family law and business law matters. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Mr. Szaferman earned his law degree from Rutgers Law School.
The New Jersey State Bar Association, incorporated in 1899, is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system and to aiding in the administration of justice.
