Michael F. Schaff Receives Inaugural Distinguished Service Award From NJSBA Health and Hospital Law Section

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Health and Hospital Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) presented its inaugural Distinguished Service Award to Michael F. Schaff, Esq. on May 4 during the section’s Annual Meeting at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. A past Chair of the Health and Hospital Law Section, Mr. Schaff is a longstanding member of the section's Board of Directors.

The award was presented in recognition of Mr. Schaff's invaluable contributions and countless achievements that have significantly improved the growth and prestige of the NJSBA Health and Hospital Law Section and encouraged the involvement and commitment of others.

Mr. Schaff is a shareholder of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer in Woodbridge, NJ, where he serves as Chair of both the Corporate and Healthcare Teams.

In addition to the presentation of the Health and Hospital Law Section’s first Distinguished Service Award, the section’s Annual Meeting also featured a presentation by Fred M. Jacobs, M.D., J.D., Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

The New Jersey State Bar Association, incorporated in 1899, is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system and to aiding in the administration of justice.
