NJSBA Vote On Proposed Bylaws Amendments Invalid

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Due to a technological error, ballots for the proposed amendments to the NJSBA Bylaws were recently mailed to the entire NJSBA membership, including associate members. Pursuant to the current bylaws, associate members are ineligible to vote. Since the balloting process is anonymous, ballots submitted by those eligible to vote cannot be separated from ballots submitted by those ineligible to vote; therefore, the vote on the proposed bylaws amendments must be declared invalid. A new vote on the proposed amendments will take place prior to the next regular meeting of the Association, currently scheduled for November 2005.
