Voorhees Attorney Michele M. Fox Named To New Jersey State Bar Association Board Of Trustees
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Voorhees attorney and Cherry Hill resident Michele M. Fox was named Camden County Trustee this month by the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Fox has been a member of the NJSBA for 21 years. She served on the NJSBA Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee from 1996 to 2000 and was a member of the Nominating Committee from 2000 to 2003.
Fox is a former president of the Camden County Bar Association (CCBA) and Foundation. She served two terms on the county association’s board of trustees and was a member of the CCBA Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee from 2000-2001. She is co-chair of the CCBA Labor and Employment Committee and is the founder and a member of the CCBA Presidential Commission on Diversity.
Fox serves the CCBA on many other committees including Budget and Finance, Public Benefits, Personal Injury Law, Insurance Programs, Civil Practice, Courthouse Facilities and Bench Bar. She also served on the county association’s Mediation Subcommittee of which she was co-chair, the Nominating Committee of which she was chair, and the Unauthorized Practice of Law and Vicinage Dispute Resolution Advisory committees.
Fox was appointed to the Lawyers Advisory Committee of the U.S District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2000 and also to the Merit Selection Panel for Appointment of U.S. Magistrate Judge in 1997. She also served on the District IV Ethics committee from 1988 to 1992. Fox has served on numerous Supreme Court committees including the Committee on Character, Task Force on Dispute Resolution and Committee on Women in the Courts.
Fox is a partner with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP where she is primarily a litigator defending employers in all types of labor and employment matters. She also counsels businesses on employment practices and procedures and has a significant mediation and arbitration practice.
She is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney.
In addition to her NJSBA and CCBA membership, Fox is also a member of the American Bar Association, Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, Burlington County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, New Jersey Defense Association, Defense Research Institute and New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators.
Fox received her law degree from Rutgers School of Law—Camden and her bachelor of arts with honors from Rutgers University, Camden.
The New Jersey State Bar Association, incorporated in 1899, is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system and to aiding in the administration of justice.
