Deborah Mulvey Named State Bar Association Trustee

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Deborah Metzger Mulvey, a Flemington resident and Red Bank attorney was installed as Young Lawyers Division trustee to the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) at the organizations recent Annual Meeting in Atlantic City.

A senior litigation specialist for Investors Underwriting Managers, a division of Markel International, Mulvey has been an NJSBA member for 9 years. She is immediate past chair of the association’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD), an executive committee member of the Civil Trial Bar Section, and a member of the Professionalism and Product Liability committees. In addition, Mulvey serves as the current chair of the Public Relations Committee.

A member of the Union County Bar Association since 1993, Mulvey served the county association as YLD trustee and chair, as well as participating on the Nominating and Activities committees. Within the American Bar Association, Mulvey was a YLD Subgrant Judge and a member of the YLD Committee on the Future of the Legal Profession in 2000-2001. She is currently a member of the Section on Litigation.

A member of the New Jersey Defense Association, Mulvey is a member of its Young Lawyers Section and served as secretary to its Products Liability Committee from 1999 to 2001. In addition, she is a member of the Defense Research Institute.

A graduate of Rutgers College, Mulvey received her law degree from New York Law School in 1993.

The New Jersey State Bar Association, incorporated in 1899, is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, to reforming and improving the legal system and to aiding in the administration of justice.
