Hille serves as New Jersey State Bar Association treasurer

New Brunswick: Robert B. Hille is treasurer of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is on track to become president in 2017. 


A partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, Hille took the oath of office at the association’s Annual Meeting and Convention earlier this summer at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City.


Hille, concentrates on insurance and healthcare law. He has been published and lectured widely in both areas. He is also certified by the Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney, and is a member of the Court’s Civil Practice Committee.

Hille said he is honored to represent the voice and interests of association members.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to advocate for our members’ interest in an executive position. I am committed to the association and its mission,” said Hille.

His bar association activities have been extensive. He previously served as a trustee of the state bar association, and is chair of the insurance benefits and amicus committees, and is also a member of the Malpractice Insurance Committee and Health Law Section. He is a former president of the Bergen County Bar Association.

He is a graduate of Bucknell University and earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Hille is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Hille is married and has two daughters.
