NJSBA hosts 2014 Annual Diversity Summit

New Brunswick: The state’s largest lawyers group will host a gathering this month meant to help the legal profession find pathways to move forward on the pressing issues surrounding diversity in the legal profession.

On Feb. 20, from 2 to 5 p.m., representatives from the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association’s many sections and committee and members of various specialty bar associations will gather for an afternoon discussion and networking reception.

This year’s summit will focus on the development and implementation of a long-range diversity plan for the association. It will offer an opportunity for attendees to hear from leaders in the legal community and learn about valuable resources and opportunities. Discussion topics will include defining the common challenges for bar associations and law-related organizations regarding diversity and inclusion; how to effectively use leadership academies to implement bar association diversity goals; and professional development, legal matters, government affairs and more.

The summit will be held at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick. Click here to register online.
