The NJSBA Board of Trustees had their Annual Meeting Luncheon this year at Wolfgang Puck's.

NJSBA President Allen Etish expressed thaniks for the service of outgoing trustees and NJSBA Immediate Past President Peggy Sheahan Knee while also welcoming to the Board new trustees and incoming Secretary Miles Winder.

Etish lauded Ms. Knee's service to the bar during her many years on the Board of Trustees, and the NJSBA Executive Committee.

Knee graciously recognized each member of the Executive Committee in their new roles for which they will be sworn in at the Annual Dinner Thursday evening. She also thanked the trustees and staff for the support she had received during her many years on the Board. She closed by noting that she could sympathize with Etish for the challenges he faced during his tenure as NJSBA President.

Mercer County outgoing trustee Barry Szaferman thanked the Board for their support and said that incoming trustee Jeffrey S. Posta, a partner at Mercer County's largest homegrown law firm, Stark and Stark, and current chair of the NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section would distinguish himself on the Board.

Outgoing Morris County trustee Kathleen Fennelly thanked the Board in particular for the second honeymoon to Aruba which her and her husband enjoyed which was financed by her firm as a part of her service on the Board at the MId-2005 Mid-Year Meeting. She said that Morris County would be well represented by her replacement, William Krais who is a plaintiff's personal injury lawyer from

Outgoing Passaic County trustee Peter Weiss expressed his appreciation to the Board for their friendship, but explained that he hoped to be back after already having served one stint as a YLD trustee, and now as a county trustee. He introdudced Domenick Caruso who he noted was born in Genoa, Italy and who he kiddingly told to consult former trustee John Fiorello for guidance if he has any questions on how to approach an issue.

Salem County outgoing trustee Frank Hermes warmly expressed his thanks to the Board of Trustees and upon receiving his award for service stated that he hoped it was a gas card to make up for all the miles he travelled from Salem to New Brunswick during the previous years. He also joked that he looked like (age-wise) incoming trustee Ryan Nussey when he started on the Board.

After thanking Christina Hardman O’Neal for her service kididngly introduced incoming Young Lawyers Division trustee Jonathan W. Wolfe of the firm Wolfe, Wolfe and Wolfe (for his father and brother) requesting an exception from firm principel Gary Skoloff for the renamed firm.

At-Large trustee Dale Console offered a heartfelt farewell where she explained the enjoyment that she and her husband Mel Narol experienced as members of the Board and that she would now enjoy having her evenings free again.

NJ State Bar Foundation President Richard Badolato offered remarks introducing John E. Keefe Jr., who was not present, as a former chair of the Civil Trial Bar Section whom he strongly recommended to the Board having been a classmate of his in law school.

Arthur Miller expressed his thanks to members of the Board for their education and support, and collegial atmosphere where persons could be on opposite ends of a discussion and remain friends. He introduced incoming at-large trustee
Sandra T. Ayres, who was not present, from Scarinci & Hollenbeck where she has a practice in environmental law.

Ivette Ramos Alvarez noted the truth of the words from former trustee Camelia Valdes who told her when she said that you will not realize the depth and breadth of the experience until it is at its end. She introduced Evelyn Padin who she said was a lot of fun to be around and especially useful for tours of Hollywood where she knew more than the tour guide. Etish noted that she was lucky too, having won a TV on her one and only forray to a Camden County Bar Meeting.

With that lunch was adjourned.
