World class shopping, Fine art galleries, Renowned restaurants
A shopping adventure in Scottsdale is not just a trip to west world, but an encounter with specialty stores of every description, and locales rivaling the sophistication of Rodeo Drive. With more than 2500 upscale boutiques, shops and malls, there are options aplenty for a southwestern shopping fix.
In Old Town Scottsdale, Fifth Avenue Shops are the heart of this "hip" part of town, with many intriguing small shops worth visiting. Meander through the streets on a search for the best Native American jewelry in town.
At the north end of Old Town is Scottsdale Fashion Square, the area's most popular mall where celebrities shop with locals at unique one-of-kind stores.
The Borgata of Scottsdale and Hilton Village, two specialty malls further north from Old Town, offer outdoor shopping in a stylish, relaxed setting.
The Scottsdale Waterfront is another hot new destination with shops, restaurants and art found along the banks of the Arizona Canal.
Scottsdale is a recognized art mecca with more galleries per capita than almost any other city in the country. Downtown Scottsdale boasts the most galleries, studios and museums. Featuring the most diverse collection of styles and genres, the Main Street Arts District is the largest of three segments in downtown's Scottsdale Arts District. Contemporary art finds a home at the Marshall Way Arts District, and Old Town offers more western-themed items.
If food is your passion, Scottsdale is the place to be. The dining options tempt the palate with not only spectacular southwestern cuisine, but also prime steaks, seafood, Asian, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Thai, French and European delicacies, to name a few.
