New Laws

P.L.2009, c.122 (Vitale) Requires the Department of Health and Senior Services to report certain patient safety indicators on a hospital-by-hospital basis, and prohibits hospitals from charging for certain medical errors. Signed by the governor on August 31.

Executive Orders

Executive Order No. 151 Orders and directs that all members of the public should be afforded the opportunity to benefit from the federal economic recovery funds and associated state spending, and, in particular, the Corzine administration re-affirms the state's commitment, expressed in statute and regulation, that every public contract, whether for construction services, goods, or other services, shall provide equal employment opportunity for women and minorities.
