Article assignments are typically made from six to nine months in advance and deadlines for completed articles are usually three months in advance of publication. Authors interested in submitting articles pertaining to a scheduled topic should contact Cheryl Baisden, NJL Managing Editor, at (732) 937-7521 or cbaisden@njsba.com for information on the specific needs for the issue. Due to space limitations we cannot always run every article, unless we have discussed the topic with an author first.

Please note: New Jersey Lawyer is always looking for law-related articles and creative material unrelated to the topic assigned to a specific issue. Departments such as Ethics, Legal Practice, Off the Beaten Path, Diversity and Legal Creativity (short, short stories, poems, photographs, etc.) are always open to new authors.
