January 16, 2013

Arthur Miller will on Jan. 16 posthumously receive the 2012 Daniel J. O’Hern Award from the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. The award is presented annually to a senior member of the bar in recognition of commitment to the highest ideals of the profession, career achievement, and service to the bar and community. The Professionalism Awards Luncheon will be held at the Pines Manor in Edison. Chief Justice Stuart Rabner is expected to deliver they keynote address. In addition to Miller, dozens of other lawyers will also be honored.

Professionalism Awards Luncheon at Pines Manor, Edison. Professional Lawyer of the Year Awards will be presented to lawyers chosen by bar associations across the state. The Daniel J. O'Hern Award, recognizing career commitment to the highest standards of the profession, will be presented to Carl Poplar of Cherry Hill. former Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz will be the keynote speaker.

October 18 and 19, 2011 

Professionalism Day. In county courthouses and federal courthouses, seminars on ethics and professionalism will be offered for interested lawyers and judges. 2 CLE credits will be granted to attendess. The event will be planned by county bar associations and the judiciary, under the supervision of the Assignment Judge.

November 22, 2011

Commission representatives will present seminars at the annual Judicial College, a training event for trial and appellate court judges.
